About Blue Lizard Sunscreen
Blue Lizard was born in 1998 in Australia. Providing safer alternatives to chemical sunscreens, Blue Lizard's formulations all are mineral-based and reef-safe. Blue Lizard is distributed via OTC, HCP, D2C and omni-channel. Distribution partners include Amazon, CVS, RiteAid, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, as well as doctors.

Blue Lizard came to Eventige looking for a growth marketing agency to support technical, marketing, and operational initiatives. With a recent M&A under their belts, Blue Lizard brand managers were switching from an in-house to an agency model, and needed a key partner to support their vision for the future of BLAS.

Research & Strategy
To kick things off, Eventige teams flew on-site to Johnson City, TN to meet with the brand management team and debrief on the short, and long-term objectives, barriers, and opportunities. This included looking at wholesale, online and offline distribution channels, messaging, packaging on shelf, platforms and process. To establish a priority of service, we provided a complete audit on the performance and gaps of the platforms stack, consumer behaviors, and skincare market trends.

Creative & Production
Next up came the design, development and implementation of a brand new Shopify Plus experience, married together with systems such as BazaarVoice, MikMak, PriceSpider, Klaviyo, and Yotpo. A rebuild of HubSpot CRM was also performed to support new e-mail and communications activities. A full SEO, and inbound lead generation program was also launched, supporting new lifestyle content creation and promotional programs. Backend ERP integrations to ROSS ERP and additional process enhancement services were also part of the delivery.

Promotion & Retention
To service both B2B and B2C customer groups, new communication programs were developed to nurture and inform customers and distributors on the benefits of mineral-based sunscreens. This includes KOL spotlights with dermatologist recommendations on skin health, sweepstakes, promotions, media buying, organic and owned programs, as well as on-going email, SEO, UGC and CRO support.

Blue Lizard is the #1 pediatrician recommended sunscreen brand in the USA, and we couldn't be prouder! Working Blue Lizard brand teams has been one of the best experiences for our agency, and as we continue on our 5th year of partnership, we're even more excited about what coming in 2024 and 2025 as we continue pushing for international expansion.
